Tar Heels lacking playmaker
The North Carolina Tar Heels are gaining some notice this year, with some publications putting them in their Top 25.
While the program is vastly improved under Butch Davis, finding a playmaker could be tough in 2009.
The Tar Heels had plenty of star talent at wide receiver last year, as Hakeem Nicks was flanked on the other side by Brandon Tate. Nicks went on to have a huge season and become a first round draft pick while the talented Tate tore ligaments in his knee and slipped to the third round.
Replacing those two studs will be tough, so look for North Carolina to lean on the running game in the early going.
