The North Carolina Tar Heels build a big first half lead only to blow it against the Florida State Seminoles, 30-27.
The Tar Heels, who have been offensively challenged all season, finally showed some signs of life.
However, it was their defense which fell apart this time, which had been the backbone of the team up until this point in the season.
North Carolina took a 17-6 lead into halftime but was outscored 24-10 in the second half to the displeasure of their home fans.
The Tar Heels remain at the bottom of the Coastal Division despite high hopes coming into the season.

The North Carolina Tar Heels finally showed some life with a 42-12 demolition of Georgia Southern.
The Tar Heels have been feeling the heat the past few weeks because of the inability to put any points on the board.
The critics were quiet early in the year because North Carolina was winning in spite of its offense because of strong defensive efforts.
That is no longer the case, especially after last week’s pathetic loss at home to the Virginia Cavaliers, 16-3.
Unfortunately, the win won’t count toward the six they need for bowl eligibility because they have already played another team from the FBS.

The No. 24 North Carolina Tar Heels failed to live up to their ranking in a 24-7 loss to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
It was a miserable first half from the Tar Heels, who found themselves trailing 10-0 heading into the locker room.
The second half didn’t treat North Carolina much better, as the Tar Heels didn’t get on the scoreboard until the fourth quarter.
North Carolina has had trouble scoring points all season long, and they are going to have to find some offense if they want to have a shot at the ACC title.
