Tar Heels take down Wolfpack, 77-63

The North Carolina Tar Heels got back on track with a 77-63 victory over the North Carolina State Wolfpack.

The game was up for grabs early in the second half, and it looked like the Tar Heels might go down again.

The Wolfpack had some momentum and had built a five-point lead, but then the Tar Heels went on a serious run.

Forward Deon Thompson led the Tar Heels with 20 points while point guard Larry Drew III added 18.

A loss against the Wolfpack could have been the final nail in the coffin for North Carolina’s season, but now they have new life.

North Carolina stunned by Wake, 82-69

The North Carolina Tar Heels couldn’t protect their home court in an 82-69 loss to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

It was a game the Tar Heels desperately needed to win considering their current state and record.

North Carolina is now just 1-3 in the ACC and has seven losses on the season, which all spells a ticket to the N.I.T.

It seemed like it was just a few weeks ago that North Carolina was considered one of the top teams in the country.

It looks like the team’s youth and inexperience are really beginning to show, and they need to get things turned around in a hurry.

North Carolina crushed by Clemson, 83-64

The No. 13 North Carolina Tar Heels looked flat in an 83-64 road loss to the No. 19 Clemson Tigers.

It was the most lopsided loss for the Tar Heels since 2003, when they lost by 40 to the Maryland Terrapins.

North Carolina committed 26 turnovers, the most during head coach Roy Williams seven-year tenure.

The coach said after the game that he was not pleased with the job he is doing, and I’m pretty sure a lot of Carolina fans feel the same way.

The good news is that Clemson’s students rushed the court after the win, so at least the Tar Heels are still thought of highly.

North Carolina falls to Pittsburgh, 19-17

The North Carolina Tar Heels fell in the Meineke Car Care Bowl to the Pittsburgh Panthers, 19-17.

The game played out as was expected, with both teams sporting strong running games and even more stout defenses that eventually won out over the offensive sides.

North Carolina took a 7-0 lead after the first quarter but fell behind 13-10 at halftime. They regained the lead in the third quarter only to see Pittsburgh kick the game-winning field goal in the fourth quarter.

Quarterback T.J. Yates finished with 183 yards and two touchdowns to go along with an interception. Running back Ryan Houston led the rushing attack with 84 yards, but he did lose a fumble.

Wide receiver Greg Little had a big day for the Tar Heels, finishing with nearly 100 yards receiving and both touchdowns. He also had one carry that went for 31 yards.
